The opportunity

Lead real-world evidence strategy for a respiratory and immunology portfolio within the US medical organisation of a top 10 global pharmaceutical company. You’ll head a team of RWE Directors, shape the evidence that shows product value from pre-launch to maturity, and champion the responsible use of AI to make real-world evidence faster and more rigorous.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

  • Lead the real-world evidence part of US evidence plans across the respiratory and immunology portfolio, from pre-launch to maturity
  • Direct observational studies, database analyses, target trial emulations, registries and pragmatic effectiveness studies
  • Generate clinical and economic evidence for payers, health systems and policy makers, aligned with US reimbursement and quality-measure priorities
  • Build, mentor and retain a high-performing team of RWE Directors
  • Work with global evidence, health economics, field medical, market access and implementation science colleagues so evidence turns into changes in clinical practice
  • Manage strategic partnerships with academic groups, data vendors, health systems, patient organisations and professional societies
  • Lead the adoption of AI tools in evidence work, from literature reviews to data quality checks, with strong human oversight
  • Own the RWE budget, resourcing and vendor performance
Requirements

What you’ll bring

  • An advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD or a relevant Master’s) in epidemiology, health economics, outcomes research, public health or a related field
  • 10+ years in real-world evidence, HEOR or health economics across pharma, managed care, consulting or academia
  • A track record of leading high-performing teams, including Director-level direct reports
  • Deep expertise in observational study design, real-world data (claims, EMR, registries, linked data) and causal inference
  • Strong knowledge of the US healthcare landscape, including payers, quality measures and guideline development
  • Confidence evaluating and governing AI-enabled methods, and explaining complex methods clearly to senior non-technical leaders
  • A strong publication record; respiratory or immunology experience (for example asthma, COPD or immune-mediated disease) is highly desirable
