The opportunity

Lead corporate strategy engagements for biopharma, medtech and diagnostics clients at a leading life sciences strategy consultancy. You’ll tackle questions on therapeutic area strategy, market entry, corporate positioning, competitive intelligence and long-term growth, working closely with senior client leaders and the firm’s partners.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

  • Manage two to five corporate strategy projects at a time, such as therapeutic area strategy, market entry and development, corporate positioning and long-term value stories
  • Support board and investor communications, competitive intelligence and analysis of global industry trends
  • Bring order and structure to new problems with hypothesis-led thinking and early, clear direction
  • Raise issues early, design sharp client and internal agendas, and keep teams out of fire drills
  • Lead client meetings with confidence, challenging client thinking and adding value beyond the team
  • Build client relationships that lead to repeat work, and coach and mentor consultants
Requirements

What you’ll bring

  • 5–7 years in strategy consulting, ideally focused on life sciences
  • Project and thought leadership in corporate strategy, such as therapeutic area strategy, leadership positioning or long-term growth strategy
  • A track record of managing several client projects and teams at once
  • Experience bringing together different client teams and working across functions
  • Excellent problem-solving, writing and presentation skills
  • A bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or business; an MBA, PhD or other advanced degree is preferred
  • Hybrid working, with around two days a week in the New York, Boston or San Francisco office
