The opportunity

Lead global external expert engagement for an oncology franchise at a top 10 global pharmaceutical company. You’ll build one coherent engagement strategy across assets and indications, orchestrate the company’s scientific presence at major congresses, and shape how leading experts see and use its pipeline.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

  • Develop a single global engagement strategy for the franchise, with a consistent scientific narrative across assets and indications
  • Plan and coordinate engagement at major oncology congresses, from planning through to debrief
  • Deliver key global scientific exchange activities, including large in-person events
  • Partner with indication leads, medical peers and cross-functional teams, influencing without authority
  • Capture insights from experts and congresses and feed them back into medical plans
  • Set objectives and success measures for engagement, and report impact to senior leaders
  • Make sure all activity meets internal standards and external regulations across markets
Requirements

What you’ll bring

  • A master’s degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent medical or scientific qualification; a PhD or PharmD is preferred
  • 4+ years in pharma or life sciences, or relevant clinical, academic or medical affairs agency experience
  • A track record of delivering medical plans and strategic medical initiatives, including expert engagement
  • Excellent communication, presentation and multi-stakeholder management skills
  • Strong project management and the ability to work across functions
  • A good understanding of drug development, commercialisation, outcomes research and access
  • Oncology experience; lung cancer experience and a global or headquarters medical role are preferred
  • Willingness to travel around 10–20% of the time
