The opportunity

Lead new product planning engagements for biopharma, medtech and diagnostics clients at a leading life sciences strategy consultancy. You’ll help clients turn promising science into successful products, from concept validation to late-stage development, while running several project teams and growing your own client relationships.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

  • Lead two to five new product planning projects at a time, such as opportunity assessments, indication prioritisation, disease landscapes and demand studies
  • Bring structure to unfamiliar problems with hypothesis-led thinking and clear direction
  • Raise issues early, run sharp client and internal agendas, and keep teams out of fire drills
  • Drive high-impact client meetings, challenging client thinking and adding value beyond the team
  • Build strong client relationships that lead to repeat work
  • Coach and mentor consultants, and contribute to the firm’s growth beyond project delivery
Requirements

What you’ll bring

  • 5–7 years in life sciences strategy consulting
  • Project leadership in new product planning, such as opportunity assessments, indication prioritisation or demand studies
  • A strong grasp of how scientific data translates into products, valuations and a clear path forward
  • A track record of managing several client projects and teams at once
  • Excellent problem-solving, writing and presentation skills
  • A bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or business; an MBA, PhD or other advanced degree is preferred
  • Hybrid working, with around two days a week in the New York, Boston or San Francisco office
